Kadu Instant Messenger

Kadu is an open source gadu-gadu protocol (popular in Poland) instant messenger client for Linux, BSD and Mac. Soon Kadu will become multi protocol instant messenger with XMPP/Jabber and Tlen support added.

* Kadu 0.6.5.3 is another bug fix release for 0.6.5 branch. Two features ware added. Highlights:
- Opening chat history window is much faster now,
- Fixed SMS gateways for Era and Plus,
- KDE4 notification added,
- Silent mode action added (with this action user can turn on/off all notifications).

* Kadu 0.6.5.2 is a bug fix release for 0.6.5 branch.

We also have a good news from our Usability Team. Kadu has been accepted as a Season of Usability 2009 project

Season of Usability is a series of sponsored student projects to encourage students of usability, user-interface design, and interaction design to get involved with Free/Libre/Open-Source Software (FLOSS) projects. Inspired by Google's Summer of Code, OpenUsability offers sponsored student projects. The Season of Usability 2009, sponsored by Google and Canonical, will be supporting 10 students to work on 10 open source projects during the June 1 - August 31 2009 season.

* Kadu 0.6.5.1 is a bug fix release for 0.6.5 branch.

* We are releasing Kadu 0.6.5. Full list of changes is too long to present it here, so you can find only most important changes below:

* Code almost completely rewritten from Qt3 library classes to Qt4 classes,
* former build system replaced by modern cross platform CMake,
* support for WebKit engine added in chat window and information panel which gives better configuration possibilities,
* official support for Mac OS X considerably improved.

NOTE: When compiling from sources you need devel packages of all dependencies. Also you should edit ".config" file and enable/disable appropriate modules before compiling with CMake
